As of now I'm not working on Saturday. That can change quickly. I was up fishing by the "Red Barn" on Sunday and there was not a lot of snow. Since Monday's storm that has probably changed. A tow strap is going to be required up there now.

Hi. What part of Margaree you from? That is where I'm from. Done alot of wheelin up through Charlie Phillips Hill , back roads and trails the Cheticamp, Marshbrook Rd and a few other places. Usually keep it pretty tame as we are alone. Be a awesome place for a Fall Colors run up to Cape Clear and stuff. We come home every couple months, drop the little one off at the folks, and go get dirty! We'll have to hook up the next time we're home. Last christmas we went out with Matt and Rowland somewhere around Big Pond. It was a short run due to snow but we had a blast. Later Heather

Hey Caper,
Yes, I do know some Millers down there. What part of Margaree are they from? East Margaree/Fordview? If it is them I am thinking of, there is a really cool dirt logging road that goes up the hill next to Alex Miller's. I've been up a few times but it's really easy to get lost if you go off the beaten track. We got a map for Christmas with all those old logging roads and I will be taking that with me next time. Do you do any offroading down there? Hopefully we can hook up next time we're home. We tried getting something together last fall for down there but .... well.....
I keep watching this part of the board to try to plan a good trip home. It's awesome having a babysitter to take care of the little one so we can go out and play (although my Mom's showing a HUGE interest in exploring so I might have to get her to find someone else to babysit - crazy Cape Bretoners!).
Heather
P.S. What's your GF's name?

Hey ! They are from North East Margaree. Her name is Nicole. Do you know a Greard Miller who still farms there ? She is not related to them but does know them. Just curious, what is your last name ? Haven't done too much wheelin' down this way, too much snow, but do look forward to it in the spring.

Hey Caper,
My last name before I got married was Burns and if the Gerard Miller that you are talking about is the same Gerard Miller that I know, then the logging road that I was talking about is right next to his place. I know it as Alex Miller because that's Gerard's father and who lived there when I lived there. Is your GF related?
I hope that we can hook up sometime - obviously the roads up in the highlands are pretty much undoable with all the snow (and the fear of driving over some snowmobilers!! ;D). The spring is always a good time since there's LOTS of mud up there.
Take care and hopefully we'll go offroading together some day. What the state of your Jeep? Stocked?
Heather
