So I was repairing a shelving unit at work and had some busted legs from that. Instead of tossing them in the steel bin, I cut some pieces to fit along the wheel well area behind the back seat of my YJ. After sandblasting them clean, I welded them to the wheel well today at lunch. Now I'll cut some sheet metal from a discarded shelf down to fit that space between the seatback and tailgate and bolt it to the "brackets". I don't want it welded on in case I want it removed at some point. It should keep most thieves from getting at tools and stuff back there. I didn't want the drawer thing because I need to keep the back seat there. Here's the start-

Yes I know it's ghetto but it works and cost me nothing but time. Just have to drill it and bolt it on with some carriage bolts...

looks good man. i have a "hide a trunk" in my yj, and this makes me wanna paint it to make it look a bit better good job...
