build to last, i put some serious abuse on this rig this seaosn and never had the slightest problem with this, not even bolts loose... bend a number of tie rods built out of sched 80 pipe(3/8" wall) snaped a few ends, but never once had a problem with the arm...

just finished it tonight LT, looks awesome, i didn't set up the power steering or the hydrolic assist ram yet but the steering links are all finished... it uses 3/4" hiems on both ends of the drag link and the tie rod, with 3/4" gr 8 bolts, the tubing is 1.25" sched 80 pipe with 1" sched 40 pipe inside.... mmmm beef.....sohuld never break.... i'm usinf a ps box off a v6 2wd nissan pickup...the pump is a sagnaw independant res. off a chev with the pressure increased and hte flow increased.... the ram is a 15 ton rated 1.5" bore 6" stroke..... ;D watch the fab section.... should have pics by the end of the weekend...

oh and jan, just an fyi, some pumps can't handle that mod.... example, my stock zuki one.... it was a mint pump before i did it, then it leaks like a siv, squrted fluid out the res, and one of the times i floped the truck over i pulled the cap and there was a ton of metal shaving in the res.... so somethign was getting fawked ;D

ya, those hiems are worth a try on a trailered rig.
the steering pump - i assumed you used the hamcan pump, that's the one i've seen all the articles on.
the westtexasoffroad article comes to mind.

the pump used in the west texas article is exactly what i have, its a external res. saganaw pump off a 83 full size gmc jimmy that had a 6.2L diesel... yes my parts truck is not only for parts for my tow rig ;D
