I thought all of the NSJC was invited, but only the Halifax Chapter was allowed to vote, and win prizes. Is that not the case? Not looking to stir things up, just wanting some clarification, as it seems others would like as well. Thanks.

Don't even get me started on who can go and who can win... I actually wrote an hour long post last night but deleted it...  It would be nice if everyone was welcome and everyone who attends being eligible to win. I still think we should have an annual NSJC AGM...it's one thing that I'm sorry we don't have in the Valley (will propose it at our next meeting)... The last time I went to the AGM and wasn't eligible to win anything really sucked so I offered to pay for a Halifax membership...however, I do understand that it is the Halifax chapter that gathered up and donated the prizes... hmm thought my input in the other thread was on topic.
I have peeps asking me about the AGM, specifically the questions posed by me and Big G above.
Still some issues in the air that might take a few years to go away..

HALIFAX chapter Annual General Meeting... Prizes are collected by the Halifax chapter - the meeting revolves around the Halifax chapter issues and its members renew and vote on it's exec....
YES It would be nice to do some thing as a NSJC general meeting.
YOU ALL KNOW I am a devoted member and would gladdly get involved in helping organize it BUT I am NOT gonna be able to do it all! I suggest we start a NEW thread and propose this issue instead of only rehashing it when we put on the end of the year meeting for the Halifax chapter.
I would say Bring a dish and join in on the socializing aspect of the night but, it would be the same as me going to Valley or up to Truro and saying I had the right to say what goes on in their chapter as far as the meeting part. Agree?
