Just wondering if I should take these off for the Jamboree? I have tubular style running boards on my jeep and a trailer hitch. Should I to give me more clearance maybe. Thanks.

I don't know what you run for running boards, but if they're metal, then they should do a nice job protecting the body from rocks, trees, etc.
I have a hitch on mine that I leave on all the time. It does hit things on the trail, but has remained completely intact. Mine is the Mopar class I with the 1.25" receiver, which doubles as my rear tow point since I installed a tow hook with a nice grade 8 bolt.

They are the tubular style from Chrysler. Mine is a Rubicon, it already has the rocker guards on it so maybe it would be fine with them off. As for the trailer hitch, good idea with the bolt. Might leave it then to give me some more protection. Thanks.

ditch the tubes and keep the hitch. your rockers are fine with the stock rubi ones, you'll enjoy the added clearance over the low hanging toobs.
if you got a rear towpoint (someone will say all rubi's got one, i don't know...) i'd ditch the hitch if you don't mind doing a bit of work, you'll have more clearance there too. but a hitch will take a pretty good smack too, its just low. great for a towpoint, better than the hook.
you will probably bang up the toobs if you want to try a trail that will challenge your Rubi. if you are going easy, they are prob. ok.
I'm from Alexandra St area, where you living?

Wally I am definately taking the tubes off but I can't remember if I do have a hook in the back or not. I will have to check. If I do I will take the hitch off though. Thanks.

Yeah, I have seen it. The guys are always over in the garage it seems working. You might see my truck there more than the jeep as I drive my truck more. It is an '06 blue dodge megacab. I won't be up there much longer though, moving to Ferndell Crescent soon.
