Whats the story on that fairlead Rico? If I got you some measurements for mine where I was showing it to you today, think you could score me something like that? Its Lexan right? I am assuming you made that.

Just a junk of plastic I got from a buddy. Was easy to router into that shape. I haven't seen any thick stuff like that in quite a while.
You can check with GE Polymershapes in Burnside for material to make one. Very easy to work with.

Hey Rico
You mentioned you purchased your steering quick disconnect in town. Where could I pick one of those bad boys up?
Thanks.

Hey Rico You mentioned you purchased your steering quick disconnect in town. Where could I pick one of those bad boys up? Thanks. Hey man. Actually Rue ordered it in for me. PM him. I've all but given up on any "race shops" here in the HRM. Like your new name ;D

Thanks for the information. I tried all the speed shops in town and they all seem to hold no stock. They have to order everything. May as well order it online myself. I will check with Rue then i will buy it on ebay.
Is the beast going to be ready for the weekend?

Thanks to Andy (Geezer) and Everett I managed to weigh the buggy tonight.
I had thought mine would be the Oprah of the buggies but I was surprised!
Total weight is 3762 lbs! Without driver and most tools removed. 1/2 tank of fuel.
Front 2181lbs, rear 1581lbs. So most of the weight is biased to the front. No surprise there.
Right side 1899 lbs, Left side 1863 lbs. So pretty close side to side.

It ain't a 4 banger on Toys, its a V8 on Tons. That's a pretty decent #, you don't have any frills on there.

I was pleasantly surprised. Of course with me and gear in it total weight will be over 4 grand. Not that I was really concerned about that so I won't be changing anything.
