my 2005 chev has burnt clutch in the t case
any way of welding them togheter or locking them as a unit to get rid of the clutch, i believe the t case is a np8

np8? missing letters there? clutch in the t-case? is it awd or something? The NVG 246 RPO NP8 is the 2 speed automatic case, the other model available is the NVG 246 EAU which has Auto 4WD, 4HI, 4LO, 2HI and Neutral.

well i gt two option from wath i read, replace the clutch at a cost of around 500 buck for the parts, no biggie, or just weld them and have it as a full time 4wd and no worry about the clutch slipping ever again

new enough truck to not halfass the repair either. could cause major issues if someone else drove it, and put it in auto 4wd on dry pavement
