I picked up a monster old pop-up camper trailer that I junked and intend to make into a utility trailer (its in good shape - and plenty rugged)
I was wondering if anyone out there knew what was involved with getting the papers switched to say "utility trailer" vs "camper"? I'm sure someone will have to inspect it, but who/where?

Give access nova scotia a call and ask them...actually call and talk to 2 or 3 of them and see what the 2 or 3 different answers you are sure to receive are... ;D ;D. That was no help with your question, but hey it is Friday and I am out of here in a 1/2 hour...

I'd let the sleeping dog lie, and register my "sleeping under the stars" camper. I'd bet they'll make you get a home built title. In 27 years of driving I've never been asked for a trailer registration, they just look at the tag.

go to access and tell them that you need a new VIN# because you just built a homemade trailer, then you will have to fix that serial# on the trailer and find a cop o say that the VIN # is on that trailer. get it inspected and go back to access to get your place.
