I thought I'd start a new thread in the Halifax Chapter section as there will be details added very soon about the specifics of the BBQ.
Last year we collected approximately 450 pounds of food and $240.00 in cash. Can we do better this year? I think so.......Time to start collecting those groceries!!!
All donations are passed along to Feed Nova Scotia.
If you can't make the run but would like to make a donation, feel free to pass it along to one of the Halifax Executive at a coffee night.
Remember.......July's meeting/run will be on a Saturday, July 18!!! Then on Sunday, July 19 (weather permitting) we will host a family friendly picnic!

Here are the details!
We will be holding this event again at Oakfield Park.maps.google.com/maps?q=oakfield%20park%20ns&rls=com.microsoft:en-us&oe=UTF-8&startIndex=&startPage=1&rlz=&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&hl=en&tab=wlWe will begin the BBQing shortly after 12:00. Hot dogs, hamburgers,pop and water will be provided by the club.
We ask that in addition to your food/money donation for Feed Nova Scotia, you also bring a salad or dessert to be shared.
Hopefully we will have good weather by then but if not, a rain date of August 2nd has been set.
Hope to see many familiar faces and some new ones too. You do not have to be a member of the NSJC......prospective members are welcome too!
If you are planning to attend, can you please post below and let us know how many are attending with you so we can estimate how much food/drink to purchase.

We will be there and plan on bringing a desert of some kind, probably something chocolate, and cheesecake-like I will also bring some face paints for the kids, and I will practice my drawing too before hand! |

I will be at the pool tourney and the run on Saturday. Will be recovering on Sunday so will not make this.  |
