looks like a copy of a production style, don't remember the name (genright ?) It's based on poison spyder's trail cage... I think people are missing the difference between a competition cage and trail cage. I think it will work fine when/if Rod flops it ;D Certainly much better than stock.

I looked at 100's of rolled TJ's last night, all but a few the stock cage kept the people safe. This is what Rod's may look like if it gets used. I think the only alternative is to hack up the dash, or move the cage closer to the seat. This is probably the lesser of 2 evils. Since the picture above has a tow bar and the bags aren't blown I'm guessing it was being towed with the key off at the time.

there is a manufacturer that drops the cage tubing down behind the dash; apparently there is enough room there a few inches in from each side for the tubing to get down to the floor

Seems to have done its job, but the Jeep is still a wreck. But it -looks- like the passengers were OK if they were in it.

I have to agree also. No, Rod's cage probably won't hold up in a 100mph barrel roll/pickle flip, but as this evidence shows, it's safe to bet that the passengers would be A-okay in a flop or minor roll.
Carry on with the build.
oh, and you'd be fawking stupid to drive a SWB Jeep at 100 MPH anyways.

Thought it was time to fix the bump stops....the rear coils where falling out when flexed to the max.... we added an 1 1/2 to the stock ones.... welded them in...instead of bolts... that should fix that problem we had on the trail.....also fix the tow...it was 2'' towed in,we got it to an 1/2 inch...small test run and it seems to fix the death wobble, should be able to keep up around 70 to 80 km on pavement.. Rod....

Looks good Rod. I figured it would only need minor trimming. Looking forward to the rear stinger build. Now get some blue paint and get the rest of that roll bar painted lol
