Looking to see whos runnin them and what ft/lbs torque they recommend to use on Heep! I have an air one at home but not big enuf compressor to run one. No place to put bigger compressor. So i wanna start looking at the electric side of things.
Someone said i should get approx. 400 ft/lbs torque. Remember im not just using it for lug nuts here. Rusted U-bolts, leaf spring bolts ect.......... Lets hear what u think.....

For the use you describe you want the biggest you can get. However electrics don't get much bigger than 400 ftlbs

Most of the time a good 1/2" air impact won't take those big rusted bolts off without starting them with a breaker bar or heat first. Now that 3/4" impact I have, haven't come across anything it won't take off yet! (1100 ft/lbs in reverse)

you'll be lucky to find an electric over 280 ft.lbs.; I've got one - they are heavier, bulkier, slower, and not as powerful as the air gun - got one of those too

easy to run tho..... get a big inverter from Big6 and get a 3/4" impact one like Alan has, and a basic 3/4 socket set from PA. I considered this, but needed a compressor in my shop too. I have a friend who works between junkyard and home shop for a living, he swears by the convenience of the electric. And there will always be times when you need a huge breaker bar, no matter if you have electric or air. ditch those friggin leafs and get some coils.

If I bought another Inverter it would be around 2000 watt. That way you are everyone's best friend if the power goes out. Run a long cord to the gas station's panel and pump your own gas! Ha gota love it.
My 1000 watt one is great but won't run much. Then again I have lots of propane lights and a stove etc. I also keep several 20lb tanks full.
