Someone has recently told me that I have to have the bumperettes on the bumper fer inspection?? true or false?? I actually wanted to trim the front bumper but was told this and once it's cut, the bumperettes would have to be held on with bubblegum...actually that would prolly go well with the rope tieing my hood down and the electrical tape holding my fog light on... also...I can't get my sway bar links back on...if I just remove the whole assembly (sway bar and links) think she'll pass un noticed?? TIA Jeff

I think that will depend a lot on where you take it for safety inspection. There are many many Jeeps out there without them. The sway bar is another issue. You have to find a way to reconnect it perhaps longer links. I can now see why bad kids really burn Santa's ass. John

The guy I use goes by the act. It says if it's there it must be hooked up and working. Soooo I removed it. As he told me there are lots of rigs that don't come from the factory with links. Not his job to be up on every rigs spec's.
I've been passed while driving a wreck and had a brand new truck fail! It sure depends on the garage. Some mech's have been burned and I don't blame them for being strict!!

Dont worry bout the bumperettes, and remove the sway bar if u cant get them hooked bak up completly! Mines off and they havnt sed a thing to me. If its on there and not connected they will not likely pass it tho.
