Next Question: What backspacing and width 16" rims would you-all recomend for running 35" tires on a lifted XJ. I guess the same backspacing and width that would work for 35" tire on 15" rims,... which would be what?
Where would a fella buy white wagon wheels cheap, then? Anyplace on the net good for that?

WOW, 35's on an XJ. Thats a big tire. I ran 33's and had issues. The saw will be bitting metal for a long time around your shop In answer to your question. Well I would want as little offset as possible. If you are running stock axles the bearings are not really up to 35's and will wear out real fast. Having anything much over 3.75 will put a lot of stress on those same bearings. It will be impossible to not have tire rub. On full lock turns they are going to rub. Now if you swap axles that will increase your options. Andre ran 35's on Big Red and he took them off. I'm sure someone will pipe in with a few better options. I found my 6 inch lift with 33's worked real nice. I'm going back to 32-33 tires very soon myself.
