I would have used a piece of 2" as opposed to plywood......otherwise not bad.

Carry on that idea from side to side... have a trailer storage area/coffin underneath the jeep. Store axles and crap. Make it removable so you can still carry GT-40's.

Careful, if the insurance guy sees that it is removable, he might not insure you any longer if he thinks you are hauling GT40's that are not in your name!

Or if you are using the aforementioned GT 40 to haul logs.

If i needed to drive over my fenders, I'd cut them off and make ones i could drive over, not make a bandaid. to each his own, but i think its kinda a waste of time. carrying them would be a pain. maybe that's just his buddies truck or a one time load - for that, wood and 20 minutes did the trick.

I've done a similar trick on my floater trailer because my PA fenders just are too flimsy. You fenders seem a bit tall. Have you considered making them removable?
Hopefully before the Jam I can fab up some heavy duty fenders suitable for driving over.

even 1x1 square tube with some traingulation and skinned with 14G would do the trick. doesn't have to be real heavy. edit: speeling, i'm leavin it there.

Here's the thread if you're interested. Go back a page or two... there's a couple vids. www.alaska4x4network.com/showthread.php?p=487991#post487991Next mod? Well; rear tube fenders/ crusher corners, rear long arms/ coilovers, possible stretch, re-do front long arms & add coilovers, Atlas or Stak. No Rockwells, figure I'll stay around the 40" mark for tires.... I'll have the suspension dialed in for that. Working all the current bugs out first, then we'll see.
