I had it at the Timmy's tonight, feels like a big and tall truck, that is until I parked beside some ones jeep, they where bigger than the truck!!!!! No matter what you drive, or how much you spend, there'll always be some one to put you in your place Bob

Nice truck indeed, congratulations. I used to work on a number of cummins dodges, including an '01 2500. Alot of good info has already been given here. Defineately lifetime warranty front end parts. And unfortuneately, yes, the tranny isn't the greatest. We rebuilt that one twice in 4 years (first time around 160K), but the truck was used hard. A few things I can add from my expereinces: There is a plug in the wiring harness located at the lower rear corner of the drivers side front wheel well, just behind the plastic inner fender. This is quite suceptable to corrosion, resulting in all sorts of aggravating problems. Good idea to clean this up and give it a good dose of some form of protectant. Check your rims. Ours had the same ones and they all cracked around the bolt holes. Last time I saw an "overboost" code it had actually built enough pressure to blow one of the intercooler hoses off. Might be worth checking yours over. And finally if your injector pump has been changed it might be in your best interest to check the nuts on the mounting studs. OUrs worked loose (after being changed at the dealer), resulting in random hard starts and poor performance. Niether myself or the dealer figured it out until the movent of the pump snapped off the fuel return line twice in 2 days (wtf brand new steel line bolted solid to the block and the injector pump? How the hell? poke poke, wiggle wiggle. oh good grief : .

and if at all possible, get as much undercoating in the front fenders as possible. take off all of the plastic covers, drill holes on the inside if necessary. they WILL rust from the inside out, if you don't do this. it has probably already started, but you may be able to make them last a while longer if you dose them really well now. bottom of the doors are bad for it too, if you can get them touched up with undercoating, do so.
