Use a voltmeter or a voltage tester, find the brake switch connector attached to the brake pedal and press. Probe the wires until it lights up or you get 12V. Since the brake lights work with the key off you don't need anything on or running.
On my 2007 Grand and 2004 Dakota it's white with a fine red stripe, so yours is likely the same.

That would be my guess too, Jeep vehicles have had the same color wire for years.

Okay just what are you trying to do? Wire up the electric brake controller or just the brake lights? Do you have the factory 7 pin trailer wiring harness? I have a Liberty with the factory 7 pin trailer wiring harness and have wired in an electric brake controller. The brake line wire is hidden behind a kick panel. You should find this link helpful; www.jeepkj.com/forum/showthread.php?t=26909&highlight=electric+brakeThis might be useful too; rvbasics.com/techtips/rv-travel-trailer-plug-wiring.htmlI just read your previous posts regarding towing and realize just why you're trying to wire up an electric brake controller. You want to tow a 23' long trailer that weighs just less than the 5,000 lb limit of the Libby. Do you plan to tow it very far? This summer I plan to tow my 22' trailer for an hour to a summer campsite. To minimize the load I will empty the trailer & Libby. Myself I didn't feel like trusting a simple Princess Auto trailer hitch. I spent $600 on a quality load leveling hitch. It makes the ride much better.
