GPS towing, tell Colby I referenced you. 880-1559. Ask for price, should be cheap. I'm buddies with him, had a similar haul done for $40, and a junker hauled off for $25. If he isn't too busy, he'll try to help you out on cheapness. Get a quote on the phone. Sunday is a good cheap day. The insurance industry has made towing your buddies rig punishable by a lifetime of economic hardship. The only way around it is registering the vehicle on the trailer in the towrig driver's name. What Len (for instance) had been doing for years helping with free tows was a great risk. insurance classes that as commercial. towing commercially with no insurance is bad. whatever happens on the road, the towrig insurance takes the hit. The tower would have no coverage if your Jeep became unattached from the trailer and killed nuns. Towrig would be sued to death, and our insurance companies would sue you too, to try to recover costs. It seems a reasonable favor to ask, and I agree, and would like to help you, but the reality of the situation is I would be risking my entire economic well being in doing you a favor. A wise person does not get themselves into such a senario. a trailer rental is under $100 a day. A towtruck is under $100 easy. Mitigating this cost to you (as a favor) does not come close to the risks assumed in towing your vehicle. I've posted this as info for everyone, not pickin on ya! Just that is sucks to explain this over and over when people ask for the trailer. I feel like a prick when saying NO.

boy jan, that sure makes me feel bad about all the " good old boys" tow's i've done in my younger years....
Got a rope? hell yeah, i can tow that..... it is an EMPTY cement truck right?.... lol
what i've found with insurace, they'll cover you for anything, as long as nothing happens, and you don't ask any questions...

The 'good old days' of being able to help your neighbor are gone because of greedy people sueing the shit out anything that moves, and the insurance companies falling in line to minimize risk and maximize profit.

I've used CAA a few times when an alternator failed, when my pinion bearing seized and once when I ran out of gas If you ever breakdown on the trail you'll have to get dragged out to the nearest recognized road. Also I've learned that CAA won't help you if you're parked at a garage. Something to do with the possibility of a mechanic's lien.
