I have a 4"pipe next to my compressor. The idea is to route the hot moist air thru the cool tube next to the drafty door, killing the velocity and percipitating the moisture to the sides of the tube...so it can be drained. But I never really finished the job. Its getting on wet season, and I'm gonna start eating tips on the plasma table and getting bad quality from wet air. Need to change the compressor outlet to go directly to this tube, before the tank, to take advantage of the DeltaT aspect of removing moisture. Cooling the air makes the moisture come out. The tank is doing that now, instead of the tube. But in the meantime, I made baffles out of aluminum to stop velocity and give way more area for water vapour to condense apon. Air shocks! ;D mounted on ready rod. The shape of each plate is different, forcing the wet air to make turns to get to top of the tube. Will slow velocity, and add lots and lots of surface area and installing it in the tube. This is a little pointless until the compressor is routed here when the air is hot, instead of tank, then tube. All the water just goes in the tank, the tube is secondary, needs to be primary. It does catch a fair bit tho now.

How long are they lasting for you I'm still using the PA desiccant but I'm moving on to the silicon ones This or next week yeah c&b industrial supplies pneumatic specialists 61 raddall ave. unit C dartmouth, burnside park 468-2900 part # 54.695 desiccant 5lb jug. 119.96+tax=$137.95 I'm estimating i can fill the PA tube 3-4 times. I haven't changed them since installed and they are still working great. Excellent plasma consumable life. Bear in mind there is a big tank, the condensor, and a filter ahead of the dessicant tube.
The quoted post is 4 years old, so I'd say its worth the money!
