I put my winter tires on, maxxis bighorns. They look kinda small with the flat flares though. I also swapped my bulbs in my Warn lights. Now running HID, I'm going to try and get a good picture with the lights. Now ready for the snow!!! Unless your lights are projectors you won't want HIDs in them in the snow; It will be mega warp-speed lighting up all the snow in front of your face rather than the road. Look in to 3000k HIDs for driving during rain/snow - they're fawking awesome!

I'll have to check how many kelvin they were, I can't remember off the top of my head, I want to say they 3000k but they may be 4300k. Either way, I drove home from camp the other night during a downpour and switched them on, and they were absolutely amazing. I know what you mean with the "warp-speed" lighting though. The H3 bulbs that the warns came with would produce that effect if it was really storming out, and I'd imagine just about any light mounted near the bottom of the windshield will be pretty much the same. Time will tell what these will end up doing in the snow. Most of the time I don't have them on anyway. I just use them out our back road where there is hardly ever traffic, or at least when I'm travelling there isn't. I tried to get a couple pictures, but it didn't work out too well, just looks like bright light everywhere.

It cuts through the fog/snow/rain amazingly. The french (France) have been putting yellow filters on lights for years for this reason (doing so here, among the car community, is called "Frenched fogs". As you mentioned having anything at eye level is going to light stuff up at that level like crazy (that's why we have headlights below, for general all-around versatility). Your pillar lights will be great for lighting up distances in the night when it is clear for sure! (higher the light is the less shadow you can see on the road - which in my case with the low mount lights the shadows are generally potholes )

Replaced the passenger front floor pan. All floors solid now, except for drain holes. Painted and undercoated also.

Just installed new Bilstein 5100 shocks front and rear! Now the ass end of my jeep doesn't ride like a caddy and my rear end doesn't go into traction mode when i hit bumps cause the old rear shocks leaked all their fluid out.

Nice rails. I'm looking at Mopars one's, they bolt on at the body mounts. They look somewhat similar, rugged ride one's look to tilted up and hard to step on.
