yup ,thought of that too ,similar to the rain gutter ones. Similar but mount to rails your factory crossmember fastens too.You take crossmembers off and throw away...

Yeah, can you do that? get rid of the stock runners and use the mount points? It would look a lot cleaner than gutters grabbers, and wouldn't be as prone to getting pulled off rubbing on a tree.
I would not have that basket up as high as the factory cross members, in any case.

had the flue for a week or so now but Nick came down and we mounted it up ,he's going to do the light tabs and a few other things. had to change the mounting and made 1/8 x2" brackets bolted to the factory rack . The original measurements i had were from his zj and the xj roof and rack is wider in between the rails. I also painted it to match the xj and it will hold ,i was standing in the rack when it was bolted on.

You drilled the holes through the roof ? or through the factory roof racks ?

Brackets are welded to the rack and holes drilled threw the factory rack and bracket bolted together.
