89jeep2 bought a shackle reversal kit for his YJ and needed some help to get'er done. first things first .... the kit ,BDS grade 8 hardware and powder coated brackets ...real nice kit. how it was Jack up and support the frame on jack stands, tires off and jack under the housing .Unbolt shocks, lower bumper bolts , front shackles ,leaf springs, sway bar and rear leaf bolts . front bolts right onto the existing hanger and bumper holes The back hangers have to be cut off and frame dressed for the new hanger's measure the new hanger's to spec ,clamp and drill holes bolt it together loosely Install shocks and tires and drop back onto the floor to ride height then tighten up the bolts WOO HOO your done ! Again .... really nice shop fully equipped with everything you would need ,welder's ,press, lathe , oxy/acc , a roof and cement floor . Man that was nice ! Glad we got it done Brian ,nice when all the bolts come out great .

Thanks for the writeup and pics. Did it greatly affect your driveshaft angle or your alignment?
I'm interested in doing this mod too. Occasionally my front leaf springs flip over. Either I move my front spring shackles back some or install a shackle reversal.

It's not my jeep but a friend of mine ,i just loaned my hands .
This bds kit did not affect alignment and handles much better ,he had lift shackles before and it does not look like adding this kit changed anything in the d-shaft . He is going to test the flex and check the d-shaft and i'll let you know when he does.
This kit was bought from APJ's .

Should improve the ride quite a bit, probably puts the diff output and caster back where it was supposed to be. Jeep frame looks to be in great shape.

my jeep is shackle reversed and be careful with the driveshaft, mine is set so it just about closes completly when compressed but still pulls the slip joint all the way apart under certin conditions. ive ruined a couple of splines because of this
