I ordered the flat flares today.
The 4" skyjacker springs are coming out. (have a couple of possible offers on them) At the moment I am thinking that we (Read: Scotty) will fab up some bumpstop extensions to limit the uptravel to keep the tires off the flares. A 1" BL is something that MAY be needed, but we will look at uptravel limitation first.
I ask for patience from the OVERLORD as pix will soon follow.
The COG will be signifigantly lower this way, much more stable. I am looking forward to trying her out.

You mention stability, did you find it unstable in off camber situations?
It certainly doesn't look like its tippy.

I am looking forward to the end result of this, it will look pretty cool that's for sure especially with the flat's. Here is a bone stock JK with no lift and 35's

It is not tippy. But will be less so. Just trying to make something good better. It will be different. A different off road experience. Should look pimpin too.

Hopefully. I have been doing a lot of reading on this over the past couple of years and nothing ventured, nothing gained.

So I understand the stability aspect but what about ground clearance? Wouldn't you get hung up more often?

Axle housing will be at the same elevation as he is not changing tire size.

The diffs will be the same distance off the ground. I don't as a rule get hung up anywhere else.

So really the only thing holding me back from getting bigger tires is my damn fenders. Looking forward to the build

Seeing as the JK already has the highline hood, the flat fenders will open up the wells sufficiently to get it all in there I think.

Really look forward to seeing this build or un-build. The flat fenders will make it look like mean....almost like it doesn't have a mini van motor in it!! LOL sorry had to throw out that jab
