M151 was instead equipped with independent suspension and coil springs,,
Due to copyright and trademark issues, the M151 did not feature Jeep's distinctive seven vertical slot grille, instead, a horizontal grille was used.
the M151 was never widely released into the civilian market. This was partly because it did not meet Federal highway safety standards for civilian vehicles, and also because of a series of early rollover accidents
At high (road) speed, the rear suspension in a lightly loaded MUTT having nothing to limit suspension travel, would in a turn made to the right, that side would lift, and pushed by the spring, the swing arm would tuck under to the other side so that when the maneuver was finished the wheel would not be there to support the vehicle causing it to roll.
Man I am get smert here,,,,, Intresting information.
M825 - Variant with M40 106mm recoilless rifle mounted on rear.
mmmmmm I want 1, just for trail clearing and coyote hunting ;D Da DOgg

i like the TOW missle launcher version. Built a model of it one time.
I get a kick out of the fact they say it handles better than the live axle Jeep it replaces, but it tips over because of the design of the suspension in the next breath. so which is it?
Wait...I know......it sucks! ;D
It sucked in 'Nam, they quit using them after that.
