On 16.5 wheels how do you keep the inside of the tire on the bead with low tire pressure. The outside can be kept on with bead locks, but not sure on the inside. You can't keep it on with real low psi.I think that had ran around 7 psi in his 16,5s without a inside beadlock. You can get a inner beadlock that will lock both beads to the rim.Steve and Chris are both running them without any issues. www.innerairlock.com/what-is-innerairlock/

Thanks Rue. I have a chance to trade my boggers for irocks. The rims are 14" wide so I will have to beadlock inside and out. I just dont like 16.5 tires, but locked in and out it wont matter. Why do people say that irocks are better than boggers in rocks. The tread, width or flex better. The 49s measure about 3.5 " shorter than the boggers, but about 2" wider.

iroks are better because of the rubber compound, they're alot softer/stickier. Plus the side wall is prbly a little thinner allowing the tire to wrap around rocks better and easier when aired down.
ive ran Iroks since i've built my truck, about 5 years, and they seem to work the best in the rocks then a lot of tires. I think Mike (Mudmagnet) would agree.

The problem with boggers and tractor tires in the rocks is that they don't have any lateral traction, and it makes it really hard to stay on a line.
As for the bead locks.I'm not sure that they make a inner air locks for a 14" wide rim.You might want to contact them and ask.If your running a pinion brake, then you could install 2 DIY beadlocks per wheel. One inside and one on the outside. The only down side(maybe) would be that each beadlock would add a 1" of width per beadlock to your rims. Now your 14" rim just became 16"s..LOL

I'm thinking as well as compound, more biting edges, sipes, and shear amount of rubber on the rock (less gap between lugs) all help... not to mention they realy conform when aired down.
... however, considering your driving style, and engine... I don't think tractor/bogger/Irock or beadlocks are gonna matter much. I'm just gonna bring my earplugs and stand back 100'. ;D Or my helmet and a change of shorts. ;D ;D ;D
Might want to consider keeping your 6.0 for rock runs!... you know, flip the hubs, change the tires, and engine. LOL

All the DOM pipe is picked up for the drop section .125 wall. The top arms .250 wall, and the bottom arms are .500 wall. Yes that is 1/2 in wall pipe. It is low to the ground and I don't want bent up lower arms. All pipe is 2" because that is what die i have. The 31 x 19 4 core aluminum rad, electric water pump, fuel sell and a few other nick nacks are ready to be mounted. I need to ask for a rase at work.
