Hard to get a good look with the HUIGE pics! Robert Pettipas has started to build a leaf sprung V8 Libby, I'll get some pics and start a thread soon.

fixed the pics sorry about that was a quick post and left.. forgot to resize.. I know Craigs been thinking about a V8 swap, but I think it'd be better to upgrade axles before he does that.. but I'm sure it's on his list of future upgrades lol..
Theres a guy in the US putting a 302 in a Libby with stock IFS still in.. seems like alot of work. Whats robert putting in? Leafs in the libby would be neat too.

He's going with 360 Dodge. He's got Waggy springs and axles to go under it. He has the front sitting under it now. The stock Waggy spring hangers fit under the frame perfect, caster even looks good!

Sweeet Can you get some pictures? I'd love to see it. There is one in the states that has Waggy axles under it that does real well but the guy who built it isn't saying much about the build.

I've had a few Cherokee owners criticize the Libby's 3.7 L gas engine because of it's lack of torque when compared to the Cherokee's 4.0 L but I think it's fine. Ideally I would do the SFA on a diesel powered Libby.
I don't think there's enough room in the engine bay of Craig's Libby to fit a bigger engine. Heck I don't think he has a place to fit the battery with the shock towers where they are.

There's all kinds of room in there Randy, the shock hoops are removable and a Small block is no wider then the 3.7L. That and as far as this thing has gone so far if it wouldn't fit I'd just cut the firewall and make room lol, even tho an engine upgrade is way down my list of upgrades as the 3.7L has so far done everything I've asked it to do.

its done, sitting on all 4s now for it's final time. going for exhaust work tomorrow.. the only thing it needs to drive is the battery location(needs new battery box. It's going to need a swaybar too up front. need something 36" wide. Antirock will be ideal but whats available in that width from a factory? any ideas? I tried TJ, XJ and YJ.. Maybe a waggy?
It also needs a rear driveshaft.. the stock one will work to drive around for now, but will probably pop out with any big flexing. got a 32 spline yoke from a 208 but seems like it doesn't fit. gonna have to look a bit further and do some reading on the Liberty 242(I think some dodge pickups have it too)..
