Been a while since I have worked on the ole TJ . Its been working great ! I have rolled it twice and Its even made it through Valley Crawl , day one only tho , My front locker stopped working ( I didn't know I blew the fuse for the locker ) I have HATED the wipers in it , No intermittent selection , just off , on , and on faster , it sucks on light misty days .. Till today ! I had a 98 XJ column here , so it was time to see if I could make the wipers better Whats in the jeep Its pretty easy to take apart on the bench Installed Its literally plug and play ! I wish I had done it sooner !! I put in a new ignition switch while I was in there , any key could start it and the key could be taken out while it was running All done and works great I have to say that the new Photo-bucket is way better , much easier to upload and get the links

Sometimes the little things make a big difference. And plug and play is always good.

Fix your CB too? Nice job on the wipers upgrade! Glad your locker fix was just a fuse.

Got the TJ in the shop , put up on the hoist , checking it over I knew I had to weld in the drivers floor , but also found a middle body mount channel gone . I had banged up the body bushing on the trail at some point , and It had broke it free . I wasn't sure how to make the divot in the channel , then I was reading Jan's post about the dimple dies . Perfect place to try it out Jan cut me up a piece , and dimpled it , he also had a 2.25 in round piece there . This should be perfect !! Welded it up , drilled a hole and welded a nut Welded it in place , and cleaned up the welds I couldn't be bothered to waste the time to take of the Rubi rockers , so I just cut the one piece out of the way Then welded and bolted it back in place It worked great , and saved me a bunch of time messing with it . I just have to paint it up now If you have some of these to do , get in touch with Jan , he has the info programed in his plasma table now

Saw this being put together today. Fits like a glove. Definitely a time saver. With all the rusting TJs out there now, this is a nice easy fix.

I have been working on a few things in the TJ . I had a blown rear shock , rear lower control arms needed to be replaced , and of course , Rust is showing its ugly face . I had a blown trans mount , so I had to drop the trans skid . I had it off not that long ago , but the 2 of shitty factory captured skid nutserts had spun , so I had to cut the bolts off Grind the head of these off and the rest will come out with a punch Drilled the hole out a size bigger then a 1/2 nut leave a 1/8 lip and weld it in I'll leave the bolts in the nuts til it cools off . and change the trans mount My redneck trans support . 2 in ratchet strap works great Is there old peat moss in the frame ? new and old I added some nuts to space up the trans just a bit I chased the remaining nutserts with a 1/2 tap I press on nuts to the end of all my taps so I can use them with a ratchet. I hate the 2 armed adjustable contraption that comes with the tap kits . A trick I learned from my Pops , who did this to all his taps as well Now the bolts can be taken out of the nuts I welded in , and the welds can be ground down a touch ( I forgot to take pics ) . Bolted My 3 piece skid back in place and parked My jeep outside
