I wanted a little more height in the back and I wanted to extend my bump stops , here is my fix before The pic is too close , but its a poly body mount I used a TJ / XJ coil isolator and bolted it all back in place Just hang'n out All done I also finally got myself a matching trail spare I might shorten my tire carrier , I have about 1.5 in space there The tread on these are wicked !

Well it was time to do some stuff I put off from last year , Jam is around the corner When I put the rubi rockers on last year , I knew I was covering up some rust , But wheeling season was close so , I left it Drivers side , It wasn't even close to being this bad a year ago Drivers side floor Pass side is fine , Go figure Except for the dents The old body mounts are beat I wanted to take the body lift out of the side body mounts , it would give me more clearance And I could replace the beat up metal all at the same time I made these from some 3X5 I had laying around 1.5 in hole saw for the rubber mounts Look familiar ? I'll give you a hint Its pieces from when I shortened the hoist I cut out the front mounts and burned in the new ones Then I cut out the other 2 mounts , and started cutting the body How the hell did the mud get in there ? Some 2 in X 1/4 flat bar , drilled , countersunk bolts 1/4 X 6 in flat bar , laying in wait Had to use the high lift to straighten out the side before welding After lots of cutting , test fit , repeat . I ended up with this ( I have surprisingly few pics of the finished boat sides ) After the Boat sides were done , I welded in the the back 2 ( both sides ) body mounts I am gonna weld in a new floor on the driverside , after I am done with hoist stuff, its much easier not having to step around the hoist legs Stay tuned !! Your welds at the frame are super nice. Great use of the leftover hoist material!

If I were sexually attracted to great welds, it would be inappropriate to be looking at those pictures at work right now.

the best solution to rotten rockers is boatsides. You will LOVE them Scott, they are the best thing since sliced bread!

With the boat sides done , it was time for a few more changes My front fenders were banged up , but they were rust free So when you have these sitting around .... You start these Its a long way around to make the tube , but it works , with lots of grinding . I wanted something different , I am not sure if I achieved that or not Pipe cutting measurements , makes it easier to build the other side Down then up in the front Cleaned up all the welds Placed the flat plate as well , You can see the lines behind the tube , That needs to be cut out , But I have to wait and make sure the battery box clears this area Made the top fender plate , and welded it in Chain was welded to pull the pipe to fit with a ratchet strap Gotta skin the back side of the tube fender , then put the inner fender in
