I was thinking its awful tall. And it will be taller as more springs have to go in. The rear packs were a little negative before the top went on.

That looks good. Did you ever get the motor running?

That looks good. Did you ever get the motor running? No, I never did, just never had the time to dedicate ro it right yet. Picking away at it an hour here and an hour there just made a mess of it. I'll tackle it on a day I can take the harness back out and do it right.

The winch mount we got planned will hide that.

My excuse was that I would want to drive it if it ran, turns out that was the case and I got the other stuff done. Love to see it at the Jam this year!

Well right now I turn the key and it doesn't run, the ingntion module has to be removed from the system. A new starter circuit has to be run through the ignition switch plus other BS. I had little experience with wiring harnesses. Ill get it someday though.

After fixing up the winch yesterday I decided to work on the winch mount today. As per usual I can't keep anything simple. Used a cardboard template to get the rough shape. Then transfered it over to metal. Heres the rough Idea. It's made from a piece of scrap from John Ross, Its thicker than 3/16" but slightly thinner than 1/4". I'm mounting the winch foot forward which made space tight on front where the fairlead mounts. Heres the rough Shape. Since the Fairlead can't be mounted with a nut and bolt, I decided to drill and tap holes to mount it with. To ensure I have enough thread engagement I doubled up the metal on the front of the mount. And since I can't keep any thing simple.....I broke out the old 'plasma table'. Here is the plate mounted to the winch plate. The hex head bolts will be replaced with 3/8" button head allen bolts. Setting in place. Steering knob side Side View, there will be a triangle shaped piece to fill in that square edge. It will have a tab with a couple holes for bolts as well. I'm going to bolt the whole assembly to the frame with a series of tabs. 1 long row behind the bumper, a couple up on the steering knob, and a few on the passengers side.
