:Rubs eyes: Heepota? :Rubs eyes: I got rid of my bungee battery hold down and went all pimp with a piece of hardwood. Was a little embarrassing at the last run when I had to have the hood open. I have a piece of nylon ready to exchange it though. Moe will be proud to open his hood. I used an F150 filter, already set up for the FI tubing I used. Reminds me I should change it.

Yeah why, should be good as long as I use one of those 4" long black bungees on each side to an existing hole in the batery tray.

I think you are joking. why wouldn't you put ready rod or something down thru the re-enforced ends, inside the circles?
a bungee cord can't last against a 20-30# (?) battery bouncing around. they become kinda brittle in cold, and soft with underhood heat, and the hooks rip or pop out.
You over built the rest of everything......that's why i think you are joking. Its wicked ghetto to use bungee cords.

plus, with a full metal mount, the last thing you want, is for it to swing around and short between the terminals...... belive me......

Hey Hawkes, wake up! More progress. In other news, Hell is experiencing a cold-snap. Mo was tired of seeing it covered in a tarp and looking like a Masrhmallo on 36's, so I was time to close it up. Windshield - On Doors - On Surprisingly enough, mo could find all the bolts 3 years after taking them off We picked up some sheet steel in the morning, and decided to make some crusher corners. 1/8" plate bends alright with enough heat: We got drivers side bent & mounted, and passenger side cut out. Still need to cut gas filler hole on drivers side, and then dress the edges. Finally: Hardtop - On! Looks like a Jeep for the first time since mo dragged it home. A jeep with 6 different colors, but a Jeep! Also not ugly-ing up the farm as much:
