I think Partridge Family, kind of wolf in sheep's clothing. ;D Somehow I think you're going to reject my idea. Thanks for the suggestion but I think your right I was thinking about having several different color panels but I don't see interchanging them

Thanks for the bender info. Have you tried yellow panels? and are you putting lites under body for nite time fun?. I bet you won't have any trouble filling the passengers seat on each outing. Not sure it fits!.

Polished AL will be nice. Heavy bling to match the wheels...

I drooled over every picture of that buggy. That pic of it in your garage is simply badass. It's a monster sitting in there!.

I would go for the Rastafarian red yellow and green. Two panels each. ;D

Get the panels blued. Call the rig Blue Steel. That would be cool! Where can this be done in halifax? i was thinking of painting a standard color (to keep rust away) then use vinyl wrap to dress it us!

That'd the tricky part heh, I'd suggest finding a gunsmith, since it's usually a process used on gun barrels. I've done cold bluing once before, but that was just to restore an old .22 intended to hang on the wall.
For something not just hanging on a wall, hot bluing is the order of the day. and that is some caustic stuff. So yeah, def find a gunsmith if the idea catches your fancy. 'm sure some folks on the board can likely point you the right way.

some swirled aluminum would be neat.
i think* you just cut a wood dowel flat and put it in the drill press, and make overlapping swirls on the sheet.

I made a swirled aluminum countertop once. What I did was put the swirls into it with an angle grinder, then polished the hell out of it with a high speed buffer and some really coarse compound. Worked my way down from compound about equilivent to 1000 grit paper, to 5000 grit paper. Looked quite nice when all was said and done.
