maybe CME ? what'ca tryin' to fix? I forgot about Atlantic hard chrome. Not for me. I was talking to a guy last night who needs to build up some shafts from boats then turn them down. My first thought was to spray weld them.

I thought Luc (crazyfrog) would have answered by now. He gets steering box shafts done.

ahhh boat shaft repair it's not really that bad of a job with a stick welder and a big lathe. most any shop near a dock, or fishing village should be able to do it

The reason for using spray welding, is to rebuild a surface without further hardening the shaft so as not to make it brittle, very few shop do it not so much for the lack of skills but due to the fact that it ties up the lathe for an hour making it an expansive process.
