Will you be switching to an IFS steering box?
Cab crane looks like it worked fine.

I am almost there few more days and I will have it completely apart....then it is time to start the real work. Hey did you get much for your truck body at SNF? Curious what I should expect to get out of my cab and box.

Going to bed at 2AM and getting back up at 6:30-7 AM is starting to take its revenge on me...I'm dragging my a$$ today. I'm trying to beat the weather somewhat here on the tear down...once I get the junk hauled away and some of the 4-sale things cleared I will have lots of room in the shop to do my work out of the snow. At that point I will slow down to more of a normal hobby pace. OK so yesterday I managed to remove the axles from the frame, take the leaf springs off, and cut the frame into 4 foot sections to go to SNF. There was some good stress therapy in this BTW Here is a nice crowded shop pic the pieces are piling up fast... So on a side note check out this cross section of one of the better sections of the frame. I was told by Colin the original owner of the truck that the frame was half full of mud all the way around and had been for quite some time. Well he was right. Toyota had a shitty design here...boxing their frames in was a stupid decision and here is why....

Got the cab back in the shop this AM. The end is near I'm intending to disassemble it to the firewall and then hack the front inner fenders, A pillars, and floor to firewall off.... My thought here is I can keep the dash, vents, electrical all together as one unit...until I am am ready to transplant it into the other cab...nice thing there is I don't have to remember how to put it together.

Thought I would add a new post...and rename this build. Out of the dust, rust and dirt a new truck is about to be born. The original was 30 years old. I am building this to last another 30. The new design will be better than the original. I am excited about this project. I have to reorganize the shop a bit and I of course have a few things that need to be sold to make room....but I am hoping to start the build up within a few weeks. Here is a sneak peak of what I am starting with......
