I use 2" square 1/4" wall hitch reciever tubing for the female end, and 2" 1/4" wall square tubing for the male.
Bullet. Proof.

Maybe I missed something...but if the female and male ends are both 2" 1/4" wall square tubing, how is one supposed to fit within the other? I can't see the seamless tubing making that much of a difference? Aaron

that's right, G. it's 2.5" 1/4 wall seamless, or less-seam.

Bingo, the reciever tubing is sold by inside measurment, not outside Whether a 308 would punch it, I don't care to guess. But my square front has done a real good impression of a rock grinder on granite around this province. I have no worries
