I got a job doing a Polaris RZR, called up Scott to give me a hand since buddy wanted it done in time for last weekend. Got a head start on doing the design the night before, got materials and cut the pipe to length, bent 'er up. Then Scott came over next day and did the fitting and install while i helped by putting away the tools he was using while he was still using them. Making a mockery of the machine. Scott welding feet to the stock cage. (I bought a welding blanket for this job.) feet bolt on like this... bars side 8" into the frame and butt up against something inside to stop 'em from moving. nice and smooth, won't hook up on stuff. The hitch adapter thing there is aftermarket, installed it to make sure the pipe work fits around it. There is also a bracket to the frame behind the bumper between the lights. basket mounted so the driver can see under it in rearview.

So are the bars fastened where they go in the frame? Perhaps a bolt through each side? I can see someone (perhaps not the owner) throwing a strap around one of those for an extraction.
Perhaps a heavy dose of grease, or never seize to keep them from... well seizing in there.

Perhaps a heavy dose of grease, or never seize to keep them from... well seizing in there. Grease the part we want to stay stuck in there? ;D Bolts were a no-go, it defeated the purpose to have bolts hanging down under the smooth belly. Can't go from the side because there is no access for the inside bolt, its all engine. The pipe taps in with smacks from a deadblow, its not loose. Owner wanted to be able to pull the cage off easy, not lay under it unbolting stuff. (a specific request) Its bolted behind the thick bumper and the upper cage. It has the hitch for pulling/recovery. It will have a D-ring mount like a Jeep in the 2" reciever. Even drunk 'johhny moron' with the strap will see that first. Sometimes you can't design 'stupid people' out of the equation and retain good looks and the desired function. It needs to come off easy, and protect the drivetrain and plastic from getting rear-ended or backing into trees. There was a price discussed, for certain features, and a timeline.....bumper was built to those specs.
