I don't know if this is in the right spot, it'll get moved if not. For all of you that are building, and have built buggy's, are you using a certain program, or off top of your head, ?. I have bender in hand, where are some good places for advice. Damn this Jeep thing. ;D

Depends on your definition of being attacked. Like if you think anything being said negative is 'being attacked' then you shouldn't go there, you will get butthurt. If you can't handle being told your work is sub-par or could stand improvement in areas, you shouldn't go there. No mercy for big ego's.
There are a bunch of buggy builds right here too, without the attitude. Read any of Rue's build threads, or Rico's, etc.

Like Creepy said,Pirate4x4 is about the best place to look for ideas and to get a good idea how to build a chassis.I've spent hours and hours on there reading and studying builds, most of the time in the "General Discussion "section.I focus more on the comp rigs more than the trail rigs.I figure that the comp rigs are built to be the best,so if try to build that into a trail rig than you should have a good rig.

As was already mentioned Pirate is about the best for getting ideas.
However it is NOT the place to ask what most would consider simple fabrication questions. Like how to cope tube, ways to cut metal, etc.
Best if you already have skills and just need ideas/inspiration.
Personally I don't use any programs. I'm barely computer literate! So I just wing it. I usually have something in mind when I start but change it as I go along to suit.

I'll disagree with Rico(lol), figuring it out as you go along is a good way to end up with a lot of wasted tube.Look at magazines and on-line pictures, Take the ideas you gather and combine them to design what you want in a rig. A rough drawing on some graph paper will help you formulate a plan along with some measurements. A full size chalk drawing on the cement floor is also helpful to see if parts will fit ie.seats, engine, fuel cell, rad, winch.etc.
