Having a weee bit of trouble finding a manual on line.... Probably because I have zero patience for the internet SO all you small carb freaks... What are these? THe feed from the tanks goes in the bottom right? What are the others? I'm also guessing the one on top is missing something but looks like it may be a choke of some sort? Uploaded with ImageShack.us

the blue one is just a drain, overflow kinda thing, that hose just hangs down for gas to flow out of and onto the ground ;D

x3! You put a hose on it and put the hose down away from potentially hot exhaust to prevent potential fires ;D Well at today's gas prices that's CRAZY talk! More progress. It has good spark but won't start. I took the carb off and cleaned it up a bit. The needle valves were gummy. Put it back on and ran gas through it. Still won't start. Put gas right trough the carb and still won't fire. Like I said. I know nothing about small engines so what else sould I check?

Most common reason for a sitting bike engine not to run is plugged pilot jet. Are you sure you've cleaned out the pilot completely? You should be able to hold it up to the light and see a nice round hole. Also is the passageway it restricts clear and free? Make sure the float valve is free and is allowing the float bowl to fill with fuel too.
Other reasons I can think of: - does the engine have enough compression to run? Engine damage? - Is the cam timed properly to the crank? Should be indicator marks on both, refer to manual for instructions
If the engine has compression, spark and fuel, it has to run.
Hope this helps.

Thanks. Prety much what I thought as well.
But after messing with this old engine long enough I came up with another solution..... ;D
I found a couple of working 4 wheelers for cheap. Gonna take what I need then get rid of the rest.
The old is a 250cc and the new ones are both 350 cc Yamahas. Should have more guts I hope!

How many rpms typically would a 350cc 4wheeler run?
Idle to redline?
