Well it's not a 1-ton Dually... but it's close and a lot cheaper! 2006 Ford E-350 extended 6.0L Powerstroke Turbo Diesel with 240,000kms Payload 4700lbs Towing whatever the hitch is rated (10,000lbs currently lol) Price $2500 Seats 5 with that bench. Back as shelving that may or may not stay in. Good for duck/chicken hauling and trailering the donkey. Also the roof racks can hold another 1000lbs which could come in handy for wood/pipe etc. It was cheap cause it "blows white smoke" when it starts cold. It could've been a bunch of issues but most pointed to a EGR cooler leak... which is caused by a plugged oil cooler. Thankfully from my tests and the engine code P0299 it appears it's a under-boost on the turbo. I say thankfully because the turbo has vanes which get crud built up and don't work right. The van has easy access to the turbo to remove and clean it up. So it shouldn't be a hard fix... although I haven't seen her complain about the turbo and handled hills fine. Oh got 11.5 L/100km doing 110 from dartmouth to Elmsdale and 9.4L/100km from Elmsdale to home doing 80-90. Not too bad. Twice the VW but better than the YJ.

Those racks might hold enough parts to keep the yj going!

If it's an easy fix, it's a great deal. The 6.0 routienly has problems with injectors, turbo, cracked heads and burn valves, egr cooler can be removed. Hopefully it is nothing bad.

Well it's not the EGR cooler or oil cooler I was able to check those out. The white smoke this morning was diesel not coolant. My guess is one of the injectors is leaking when off. But the smoke was gone by the time I started got out and walked around to the tail pipe. I did notice the battery voltage was still a bit low and the FICM (Fuel injector control module) took a good 30s to come up to 48V like it should. There is a common issue with bad solder point on the capacitors in the FICM so I may take it out and check. It can cause injector leaks on it's own and if not corrected damage the injector. I got a video of the smoke which is all I got after the big puff this is by the time I walked around.

I had a good look at this lastnight. Paint it off it in (quite) a few places but a sandblaster and some tremclad will make quick work of that. Good score, it should be an excellent duck transport unit.

See how the charger does over the next few days before I decide if they need replacing. Also the rear ds u joint is shot. Got another for 30 from canadian tire but alas it is slightly too big to fit! Arghhhhh back to CT tomorrow and then to a real parts store. EDIT Vid clip of the rear DS U-joint.... clunky clunky!

The Mule cart! deck 7.5 ft X 21ft (5.5 between the wheel wells) 8ft high sq tubing... was enclosed for horse trailering. 1/4 I beam frame 1/4 C channel cross members about every 2ft or less Suspension and good rubber (working elec brakes too) Wondering if i wanted to drop the wheel wells could i flip these axles???

Wondering if i wanted to drop the wheel wells could i flip these axles??? if you did that, the deck would be over a foot higher than it is now. if you are fien with a tall trailer, go for it. I'd keep it low, and make ramps over the wheelwells.
