Hey all, as most or all of you know I lost my Dad last week. I thank those who gave me support when I needed it. As always good friends rise to the top.
I post for this reason, I know quite a few of us had stuff at Dad's shop at one time or another. All things must be removed by Oct 31, 2012. Contact me via the board, FB or my cell to come get your stuff pls. I don't know yet all what is going on and don't want to see anyone loose their parts, tools etc.... You MUST contact me before going out, I need to be there as well. Thanks.....
Rick

I'll come out and get my cherry mint 2.4 turbo Lebaron that I left out there in '89.

One of several conversations I've had with Richard over a beer in the couple of years I knew him. I think this one actually had to do with computers, the man could talk about anything. Don't let those 2 canes fool you, Apesteguy and I stayed out at the shop until 4am one night working on our Jeeps and Richard was there the whole time giving "advice". It's one night that I'll never forget, Allan and I laughed our asses off the whole way home, it could have been the 2nd hand purple haze but I think it was the fact that we being in our mid twenties and Richard being in his early 60's could relate on the same kind of immature humour. A big hand has to go to Richard's wife Jan for putting up with all the shenanigans as well, she always had hot home made something or other to offer us and it was always delicious. You don't really get to know a man until you've been up with him until 4am in a garage where nothing is sacred. This will probably only resonate with Apesteguy and I, but it was one of his favourite things to holler at us while we were working on our Jeeps. "Pay Attention!" - Richard Mcfarlane 1949 - 2012
