Believe it or not I'm still waiting for my drive shaft to be delivered . Talked to the local guy on Friday and he said the shop in Moncton is still waiting for the slip/spline . In the meantime I'm still fabbin . Fixing things I had on my list . Starting with the front bumper , I didn't like the stubby look and it didn't protect the lower front or the headlights ![](http://i1065.photobucket.com/albums/u393/ronin2/sammy%20rebuild/IMG_0196_zpsycr6irqp.jpg) ![](http://i1065.photobucket.com/albums/u393/ronin2/sammy%20rebuild/IMG_0195_zps9coamcn5.jpg) so I cut some 3" tube ![](http://i1065.photobucket.com/albums/u393/ronin2/sammy%20rebuild/IMG_0197_zpsn9ocbojm.jpg) and made two of these ![](http://i1065.photobucket.com/albums/u393/ronin2/sammy%20rebuild/IMG_0198_zpsxcblodk1.jpg) ![](http://i1065.photobucket.com/albums/u393/ronin2/sammy%20rebuild/IMG_0199_zps6hgkwthf.jpg) welded on and painted ![](http://i1065.photobucket.com/albums/u393/ronin2/sammy%20rebuild/IMG_0200_zpss27rahrp.jpg) ![](http://i1065.photobucket.com/albums/u393/ronin2/sammy%20rebuild/IMG_0202_zpslokwnxak.jpg)

Then back to the backend . The Jimmy I got the last 4.3 out of had a tire carrier on the back so I took it off . It was way too wide for the Samurai so cut it down and used what I needed . Cut some 2" sq tube to start ![](http://i1065.photobucket.com/albums/u393/ronin2/sammy%20rebuild/IMG_0203_zpswtfpcx0y.jpg) some cheap bearings and 3/4" bolts from PA ![](http://i1065.photobucket.com/albums/u393/ronin2/sammy%20rebuild/IMG_0204_zpsl6wbk2am.jpg) starting to look like a spare tire carrier ![](http://i1065.photobucket.com/albums/u393/ronin2/sammy%20rebuild/IMG_0205_zpsffckl1i8.jpg) 1 more support tube ![](http://i1065.photobucket.com/albums/u393/ronin2/sammy%20rebuild/IMG_0206_zpsts3vcne6.jpg) ![](http://i1065.photobucket.com/albums/u393/ronin2/sammy%20rebuild/IMG_0209_zpsuitikr7o.jpg) cut off the Jimmy tire mount ![](http://i1065.photobucket.com/albums/u393/ronin2/sammy%20rebuild/IMG_0208_zps2pmj3kgs.jpg) some 1/4" plate ![](http://i1065.photobucket.com/albums/u393/ronin2/sammy%20rebuild/IMG_0210_zpsfun29ylq.jpg) cut out , holes drilled , studs pressed in and welded on ![](http://i1065.photobucket.com/albums/u393/ronin2/sammy%20rebuild/IMG_0214_zpshnrdwx9x.jpg) ![](http://i1065.photobucket.com/albums/u393/ronin2/sammy%20rebuild/IMG_0212_zpsm0yzuhpp.jpg) ![](http://i1065.photobucket.com/albums/u393/ronin2/sammy%20rebuild/IMG_0215_zpskobisxok.jpg) welded the bolt to a piece of plate and on to the bumper ![](http://i1065.photobucket.com/albums/u393/ronin2/sammy%20rebuild/IMG_0219_zpssxljo5p8.jpg) bearings pressed in ![](http://i1065.photobucket.com/albums/u393/ronin2/sammy%20rebuild/IMG_0220_zpsckdy03t1.jpg) piece of tube to go over the bolt and in the bearings ![](http://i1065.photobucket.com/albums/u393/ronin2/sammy%20rebuild/IMG_0221_zps7h9jmgj7.jpg) cut down the Suzuki tire carrier and welded the catch from the Jimmy along with some custom parts to come up with this ![](http://i1065.photobucket.com/albums/u393/ronin2/sammy%20rebuild/IMG_0223_zpszuaakp5i.jpg) this is all from the Jimmy , bumper/stops , a latch just like a door and a release handle ![](http://i1065.photobucket.com/albums/u393/ronin2/sammy%20rebuild/IMG_0224_zpspsvd0kmq.jpg) ![](http://i1065.photobucket.com/albums/u393/ronin2/sammy%20rebuild/IMG_0225_zpsej7vt3g2.jpg) all finished ![](http://i1065.photobucket.com/albums/u393/ronin2/sammy%20rebuild/IMG_0226_zps6spen4za.jpg)

Well , this old Samurai is pretty much back together . As with most builds , there will always be something else to do . I was on my way to town about a month ago to get it MVIed and when I pulled out of the drive it wouldn't rev up . Almost didn't make it back to the barn . I couldn't figure it out , was using a used TBI system and had replaced all the sensors but the damn thing wouldn't fire through the injectors . So , my thinking is I don't want to be 15 km back in the bush and have this happen so I bit the bullet and bought a new system . ![](http://i1065.photobucket.com/albums/u393/ronin2/sammy%20rebuild/IMG_0336_zpsshumtpsg.jpg) I went with Fitech and couldn't be happier. ![](http://i1065.photobucket.com/albums/u393/ronin2/sammy%20rebuild/IMG_0335_zps9rf5tj0z.jpg) and the last piece of the puzzle ![](http://i1065.photobucket.com/albums/u393/ronin2/sammy%20rebuild/IMG_0339_zpsvilne9ui.jpg)
