Hey guys i am having some problems with my transmission i have a 1996 dodge diesel its got a 3 speed auto and when i get high throttle in a gear driving she vibrates. But with foot on throttle andbyou touch the brake vibration goes away. I am thinking torque converter is slipping when locking up. Full trans flush including torque converter... oh and trans tune sea foam. Thoughts?

You have a 3speed trans with a lock-up converter? I don't feel like going and searching Cummins forums right now, but that seems incorrect. I thought they all have 4sp autos.

You can use 4 in a 3 vehicle, but better check if going the other way. owners manual or dipstick.
The gear selector is saying 1-2-D, with an OD kill switch. D is third plus automatic overdrive. Shut OD off and it stays in third.
My later '04 has no overdrive kill, it has tow/haul mode which changes shift points and will only settle into overdrive if the computer senses low load, like going down a hill.
