Just wondering as it is only a little over a week away , about a New Year's Day run here in the valley area ? , I've been out with the amount of snow we have and it doesn't seem to to bad in the woods, some places are a little tricky but we manage to get through with some patients and a winch , but if there's anything going on or people planning on going in deffently game for a good day trip with a trail side cook out ...

Still plan to have a run, but this time of year we have to wait until close to the day to see what the weather and conditions are like to know for sure. I know some are willing to try anything, but we'd like to include everyone.
I can say that it will be in the Bear River area, hoping to be able to do Shelbourne Road.

Yes I do agree with you there it would be great to involve everyone from stock to extreme , and I do know the road and it should be a good trip if there's a run , a few of us were back in Roxbury rd which goes to paradise lake, yesterday and we were wheeling snow over the bumpers , the road in is about 7.5 k and it's a beauty of a trip , all I can say is I'm excited about it , and I've learned that airing down is very essential when going in the deep snow as well , we only had to winch 4 times the entire trip in and out so I thought that was pretty good ,

We used to do Roxbury in the winter, but it's used as a snowmobile trail, and they don't like us using it!

Just respect the other folks who use the road. It's a public road, but in the winter it's the sledders' domain, and if you use it with snow on the ground, you are effectively ruining it for them.

I am off for two weeks so a New Years run sounds good. If gas prices keep dropping, a trip from here to Bear River in the Jeep won't be too expensive!

It's the return trip that'll cost you, it's uphill.

Was back this afternoon on sled and there's bare spots everywhere up through the chopping now , and through over 80% of it , I wouldn't want to go back there on sled till more snow fell that's for sure ,

Might have some French guys coming, is that OK? LOL Jason Blinn just picked up a Jiberty and I think I've convinced him and young Jamie Belliveau, with a YJ, to join us.
