Goin to the cabout trail. Looking for a nice place to stay Friday and Saturday nite do the trail and maybe explore some fire roads light trails.
Any advice is appreciated.

I know The Lakes Campground and Restaurant in Lake O'Law has cabins available. I'd check some spots out before you go, the highlands of Cape Breton gets WAY more snow than we do, and there is probably still lots up there making it take longer for places to open for the season. Not too sure on tails, especially this time of year, I'm still seeing snowmobiles in the back of pickups, so....

Going to be snow in the Highlands woods for sure.
I'll sit down with you and a map and make some notes on points of interest.
It's way pre-season...a lot of stuff isn't going to be open yet.

Leaving this morning. Have shovel, highlift , straps and winch:)
Hopefully no rescue needed.. didnt think of places not open yet. Hopefully ill get off season rates somewhere.
