I am looking for opinions on lifting a 2003 Grand Cherokee Limited with the 4.7 V8. I would like to be able to clear 31 or 32's but want to have a good daily driver as well. Pros/Cons of budget boosts over replacement coils? Will a 2" lift give me enough clearance or will I have to go higher?
Thanks, Aaron

I like the BB idea now. A lot rides LIke stock but just a little higher and if you break a coil spring you can get one any were. If your going with lift springs . Get get the good ones, No roughcountry crap

I have a 2"BB and overland coils in my 03 grand, I'm sure i can fit 32" tires no problem. Coils are around $110 a pair, got them at CarQuest. Mine drives great!

How much extra lift did the overland coils give you?

The Up Country coils should give an extra inch over stock. I've been running a BB for a few years now, and really have no complaints with it. My stock coils have sagged close to an inch though, so I would recommend new coils.
If you're not willing to do some trimming, then 245/70-17 (30.5) will be the biggest you'll be able to fit without rubbing. I'm running 32's (255/75-17), but had to extend my front bump stops, and I have quite a bit of trimming done to the fenders and bumpers. If you're not going to wheel it, then you won't have to trim as much.

Oh, and if you don't have a double cardan front shaft, the Rezeppa won't last long past 2" lift.

Derekmac had to cut his fenders up because his coils are sacked. New overland coils and a 2" BB should get you on the tires you want. It's well worth getting coils, they're cheap.

I bought the Crown one off of eBay. It came with the bump stop extensions, and I think it was around $130 to my door. That was a few years ago though. This is a 245/70-17 stuffed with only the bumper trimmed. No trimming in the rear. This is a 32 stuffed without the bump stop extension. It clears fine after putting them in. This is how mine sits now. You will need to trim your front bumper if you want to run 32's.

You have JK springs in there now dont you Derek? Partially. I have the rear springs in, but not the front yet. They are 2.5" RC springs.

With having 2-3" of lift is an aftermarket adjustable trackbar recommended? Also is it recommended to have the t-case drop installed as well? What about front and rear swaybar links? Do they need to be replaced or will the factory ones work when driving on the road?

An adjustable trackbar isn't needed at 2", but recommended at 3". You can still run the stock one at 3" though, but not with anything higher. The t-case drop isn't needed until after 4", and even then most guys say it's not needed. The front links will be fine, but you'll want longer rear ones.
