Hi all, looking for some input. I'm looking for a used utility trailer, if I find one and the safety has expired, I take it I need a permit to transfer it home? also notify my Ins company? Want to do this legally. Thx

I can't find info on trailer safety stickers and moving them on the NS gov't site. You shouldn't need to notify insurance, anything being towed is automatically covered. I guess you can ask if its ok to have no sticker. One-day transit permit. note it refers to vehicles...the trailer is not defined as such. The permit is for registration, not safety. It does say this permit allows for vehicles to be moved without a valid safety sticker IF ITS SAFE TO DO SO. Trailers are specifically excluded from requiring insurance (as the towing vehicle is automatically providing that coverage anyway.) www.novascotia.ca/sns/paal/rmv/paal274.asp

I was thinking about the 1 day permit, I suppose I could find someone with a bigger trailer and just give it a ride. I'll probably just call the DMV. Thanks Jan. Hows the old CJ doin?

Which one? hah! Good man. The '5 is behind the shop waiting patiently for the year to come when it gets a new engine. Got a sweet little stock '7 with a hyd. plow this winter for plowing.
Love me some CJ's!

I seen a few pics of it,looks good, you must carry the torch onward lol. I sold my 7, and bought a JK, somehow they aren't the same. I really miss my old CJ that was my 4th,5th, can't remember ha ha. I used to scoff at the YJ's, then the TJ's, now I drive a JK and I'm sure the CJ owners are laughing saying those aren't real Jeeps. I saw a nice 7 at Queensland beach today, they are still around. Who knows another one may some how sneek into my yard some nite.
