Got the throttle and kickdown brackets modified and bolted up. Put on a mechanical oil pressure guage as the one in the CJ was reading 30 psi. She now reads 60 psi cold, 40 psi hot. I can live with that. ;D The oil leak seems to have slowed. Have to take out the rad and get the upper inlet redone, mine is bent (no longer round) and spews coolant when it heats up. Can now drive her around the lot at least! Still a lot of tuning to do with the TBI.

I think 40 psi hot is all you can get out of them, even with a high pressure spring!

Oil leak looks to be coming from one of the valve covers! Think I got the rad taken care of. P.S. I really hate cork gaskets! Mainly just TBI tuning left to do now. Moved under it's own power yesterday. Andre made me do a brake burn inside the 3rd bay. She will smoke 37" Boggers! Took her for a quick ride up the street. Damn, she has some go! Sounds sweet too (no mufflers, just resonators on dual exhaust ). Ran my 360 Specs on Desktop Dyno 2000, and this is what I got. Peak HP 332 @5000 rpm Peak Torque 392 @ 3500 rpm What I really like, 350+ ft/lbs of torque from 2000 rpm to 5000 rpm (and from the feel of it that torque comes on pretty much from idle, unfortunately the program only runs 2000 rpm and up ). This is exactly what I was shooting for, loads of torque off idle. Great for an off-road machine. Debatable as to how accurate these are. Most people say it is usually within 5% of actual numbers. But still cool to try different combo's of engine components and see their effect on HP/Torque. I figure these numbers are a little under rated as I could not select the proper exhaust that I run (so I picked stock manifolds and mufflers), I could not select the Air Gap intake manifold (so I picked normal dual plane), and my head flow numbers should be slightly better than the stock ones that I had flow numbers for. It obviosly doesn't tkae into account electric fan, HEI, or anything similar you do that can free up some HP. So I figure 350+ hp, 400+ ft/lbs at the flywheel should be relatively accurate. Gonna do some more research online and see if I can find some mild port work flow numbers with the stock heads, play with the program a bit more see what happen.

I'd say that would be close compared to what my AMX did on the chassis dyno.

There is a guy in Burnside that runs a chassis dyno on Wednesday nights.
$60 for 3 runs, some tuning inbetween.
Unfortunately it is run outside and he doesn't do it in the winter. I am also not sure if his setup will accomodate the large tires.
If he does I'll be heading that way in the spring! ;D

cool software, i was wondering where everything below 2000rpm was, then read the post. must be geared towards drag racing.
i'd be happy with burning out 37"!! nice work.

There is a Drag racing version of this software that will give 0-60, 1/4 miles times ect. The version I have is just the basic version. Kinda fun to play with though!

So is it true when they say on TV that it's cheaper to buy a crate engine then to build from scratch?
