I'm in, I am usually out driving around in bad weather anyway. I cleared roads and helped neighbors during hurricane juan I also pulled cars and people out of the flooding in Truro a few years back.

Duane, you can add me to the list as well. Always open to lending a hand in an emergency.

Count me in, I am more than willing to help out when and where I can (although my availability may be less than others with Joan's schedule and the kids, but this is something that is worth being part of).

hey Duane count me in. During White Juan We had other staff members at my workplace driving M-class" that couldn't make it. I was the only one who got to work driving my stock yj with sagging springs. Would be happy to help in a cause that saves lives. Bruce

hey guys im gald too hear that a #of you guys r willing to help out in time of need. during the last two storms it was friend helping friend that got through this things, with only 1 person being killed. that said,as a member of my local fire dept. the less pll on the road during the time of an emergency is 1 less that we have to worry about. Big 6 knows what i am talking about, him being a member of an fire dept for a #years also, again this said. DO IT GO FOR IT BUT BE SAFE ABOUT,i willing much as the next guy to help out, but if i don't need to be out on the roads in a snow storm, cutting some person out of thier JEEP ,CAR , TRUCK , what have you,i don't want to be. i will help with this good PR. but i think we should also talk to the FD in each area also about this cause they r first 1 to be called NOT EMO

In due course the police, fire and ambulance services will be notified of our plans - if for no other reason that to make sure they know they can call on us. I also want them understanding why we are actually out and about. Good point on contactig FD, etc. As for safety - I have zero concerns about how our members ahndle themselves while on trails. Being called out during a storm would be similar in that the same driving skills come into play. he main difference, and i feel one of the biggest reasons to remind ourselves to be safe is this - we'll be transporting folks to places deemed essential - we need everyone to get everywhere safely and in a timely manner. Unlike a lazy storm day when we could go play down snow filled roads, etc., there'll be no time or space to be exploring on these call-outs - in short, we have a purpose and we'll safely stick to it until it's completed. At least, that's how I feel about it. I suspect that when we're done spreading the word, all service departments will know who we are and how to track us down should we be needed. I also have no concerns about any of our members - I know if they respond to a call, it'll be done in a safe, productive manner. That said - very good points to remember - be safe, no sense our effort to help causing problems. I'd hate to have to help the FD respond to a call for one of our own. ...and Bill/Diane - thanks - I didn't want to assume 2 Jeeps, but I kinda figured...

John - thanks for the offer - you'll be hearing from me as soon as I gather some details. Can someone make sure Kevin Beard gets onto this info as well when he gets back? Jeff - thanks for the assist man. Saw leigh a few posts back offering help ,too - thanks Leigh! Len - thanks Bro - it's all about the club. A rough count puts us over 20 Jeeps to the rescue if need be - this is fantastic! ...and here's an idea I threw together for stickers for SWAT members - tried to keep it clean, simple and relevant.
