As long as it is the Hi Lift brand. NOT the Farm Jack.

Or the Jackall brand is good too. 48" should be good for your rig Mickey.

Might be a can of worms here but have there been any failures with the farm jack?

all i use is the cheap orange one also, lifted alot of a lot heavier things than a jeep(i.e. a 3+ yard bucket on a tracked loader, still attached to the loader)

Jackall is a quality Canadian jack, the ones called Farm Jacks are the ones that are cheap quality. I personally prefer the Jackall to a HiLIft, buy the HiLift is a quality jack too.

I don't have a clue which one I have, it's orange too, it was given to me by a guy that got out of 4 wheeling and has been used a lot on the Jeepster build, and some on the trail. The brand name ones will kill or hurt you just as quick.

I got the 60" one from PA and it works good. Been on the Comanche and now its on top of the Cherokee and I used it to jack up the hunting camp and it lifted that with no problems.

I had a 36" PA farm jack and it crapped out on me after being used twice, and not being exposed to the elements. I returned it for a 48" Hi-Lift which has worked like a charm since I got it.

My Jackall has worked great also, and it lives either on top of the Jeep or leaning against the shed - in the weather year round in either case. I lube it with some Fluid Film (or whatever else I find lying around, think it was ATF the last time) every once and a while. I've used it for leveling my deck and removing/reinstalling my BIL's deck aside from the usual Jeep jacking. Its even been driven over a couple of times.

Yes. I use mine in the shop way more than on the trail.

I got the 48" PA farm jack 3 years ago, have used it for just about everything from lifting sheds to trucks, to the willys Jeeps in the yard, to even my YJ. every once in a while gotta tighten up a nut on it, but hasn't let me down yet, and it stays outdoors most often as a door-stop.

48 Hi-lift Xtreme. Four of us ordered them at once and got a bit of a deal. Whichever model you get, remain scared of it. These things can slip or slide so watch yer teeth! HBD BTW ;D
