Well Donna and I went out looking again for another car to replace the XJ. She caught her eye on a 2002 Liberty Sport that's either fully loaded or close to it with 182000km for $10400. The Jeep is in excellent shape and runs great. I have a few questions to anyone who knows or has a Libby now. What are they like on gas? IE 3.7L compaired to the 4.0L, can the rims from a XJ/TJ fit? Mostly I am looking for any pros & cons on this as all the experience I have is in XJs and Wranglers. I think it's a pretty good deal as long as I don't let the dealer add on any of those extra expenses, lol. Seriously though good or bad comments accepted because before going into debt again I want to make sure this is worth it.

Dam! They must be a different bolt pattern are they? I guess I'll save them for when I get my 4th XJ.

well on gas they suck. I get about 300-350 (as low as 280) on a tank (60L). Your limited to lifts due to the lack of a sold front axle but I like mine, I've had it alot of places most people wouldn't think it would go. I haven't had any issues with it other then normal wear and tear. The ball joints are a known issue but there is a recall on them so make sure they are (or were) done. You can fit the rubi rims on it. I think it is 5*114.3, and that price seems a little high for those kms on that year.

Mileage is worse than the 4.0L.

WJ's and KJ's are 5 on 5 are they not? While XJ's, MJ's, YJ's, TJ's, ZJ's are 5 on 4.5 (5 on 114.3). CJ's are 5 on 5.5

I thought mine were 5*114.3 but I can't say I ever really looked into it but I know the rubicon moab rims will fit so it is the same as those

Nope, Liberty is 5x4.5, WJ is 5x5. "Check Kijiji, same price for half the miles and a year newer." I agree, the price doesn't sound great. My wife's is an 03 Limited, only 60k on it, and she'd probably sell it for 12 or so. They aren't great on gas, might be a little better than an older/lifted 4l, but not much. Not as roomy inside as a Grand or XJ, but she likes hers.

my only complaint other then gas is the lack of storage space, there is no compartment in the back to keep stuff, like no false floor or something like that to keep a set of cables or something
