I find the single hose syringe works well, not that messy. Probably depends on the quality too. The 2 hose ones are very leaky.
Best thing is the hand crank on a barrel, but I don't think there is a way to do it totally mess free.

Funny I was gonna post in tech section as I have a 20litre jug here of diff fluid and always make a mess trying to pour into a squezze bottle and put into diffs. Was looking at transfer pumps in Napa catalog and was wondering if anyone used them. They have one with lever pump and replaces lid in 20litre pail and 4 ft line and metal tip. $49. and a T handle pump that fits in place of the cap on the 20litre jug with 4 ft hose and metal tip. $25. Anyone use one they sound great?

I've seen Scott just squeeze the bottles into the diff and he's done in 10 seconds. But it's on a lift so the tierod isn't in the way and he doesn't really care if any gets on the floor. I don't have room for a 20 litre container kicking around. So I have a 5 litre jug and used to pour it into this old 1 litre bottle with a hose on it. Redneck driveway solution. Painfully slow if the oil is cold. Hoping the syringe is at least faster.

Yeah I have what scott does and its slow with no hoist just laying on your back on shop floor.Plus I have the 20 litre jug and have to transfer to 1 litre squezze bottle.I 'm looking for a better method as we drain diff here often....

I was using a pump that screws to the top of the jug today. Worked good. Forgot I hadf it tucked away till this thread. (On my buggy, the fill hole for reduction box is blocked by exaust, need flexible hose to get around it.)

It sounds like the ones that are made for putting gear oil in outboard motors I use them all the time, they work great

This one was Amsol and had a non-standard thread on the jug, but I had saved a jug to use with it. Poured out the gear oil, and put trans fluid in. Are there other ones 'at the mall' with standard jug thread?

Billy works at Napa here so he's ordering me the hand pump one that screws to top the $25 one.It pulls 8oz per stroke and the one for $49 that covers lid pump 10oz per stroke. Not alot of difference so will try the smaller one. This is the one coming......

You could always do it like the Russian guys did on Junkyard wars...fill a big ziplock, put it in the diff and put the cover on
