Looks can be deceiving! Got me a bad case of the death wooblies been able to drive it by lowering the air pressure in the front tires and sawing the wheel back and forth once I hit 80kmh. Parts are on their way to cure: Track bar from Rough country which eliminates the ball joint type connection at the frame end, Complete drag link as the ends are original and could benefit from a replacement, control arm bushings and new front upper control arms! then it will be time to do the rear again! Jeep looks awesome badwithcomputer! Cleans up nice and the MC stuff and lowering makes the JP!

I haven't been able to really drive the Jeep any distance because of a really bad case of death wobble. My front track bar is the likely source as it has a lot of play in the ball joint end. I've checked arms, tie rods, ball joints, etc but all are tight. I have been waiting for my rough country track bar replacement, but I cant wait any longer so here is my plan - I need a head nod from someone that has a little more experience with this than me... I plan to jam the ball joint end of the track bar up into the hole as this exposes about an 1/8th of an inch of gap between the nut and the frame mount then weld around it. I tried to tighten the nut down while pushing up on the bar but it just spins. I am hoping that will cure the wobble until I get the new track bar and I can cut this old one out. Hillary hasn't complained yet about me taking her car, but it's only a matter of time and I feel like it's getting short

I did, no luck it just spun. I left the nut sticking up and welded around it. I gave it the shake test and it didn't move, I took it for a test drive and as soon as I hit 80 it was death wobble again! I am going to rotate the tires tonight and see if that helps any as I know two of them were "too out of balance to be balanced" strange it didn't death wobble with the tsl's only until I put the A/T's on did it start.

Holy crap. Death Wobble has been cured.
I swapped around the two good ones to the front and no more wobble at 80! I should have thought of that sooner.

I haven't touched the Jeep in some time. I recently sold my DC2's and 35" A/T's and swapped them for some Moab's and 265/75/16's. I always loved the style of the Moab's. Jeeps working well though, all the check engine lights cleared themselves the more I drove it. The paint didn't seem to want to stick in places on my fenders, it cracked and is peeling off now, which sucks. I'll have some updates as I free up space in my garage and start picking away at little things. Much better on the road, and these ones are balanced properly Now I really notice my unbalanced front drive shaft. Add that to the list.

That looks way better. I like those rims too, almost buy them a couple of times a year when they come around. Haven't yet, but will someday.

Alright, grab your blankie's and take a seat on the story time rug. The Jeep has been on kijiji since probably mid October. I hid it well (which is usually the opposite of what you want to do when trying to sell something) as I felt ashamed to sell it, only putting the most intricate of details in the ad and without a picture as to not arouse suspicion from my Jeeping peers. I didn't have any real motivation to sell it other than I was getting tired of having a small yard and 4 pieces of equipment needed to handle my needs. The Jeep, obviously to get my offroad jollies and to pick up smoking hot hunnies with my hairy magnum P.I. chest hair bellowing in the wind, a trailer to haul junk around, a beater to get me back and forth to work and a motorcycle to satisfy my cravings for wheelies and ball busting acceleration. When you have a single drive way and 5 things (don't forget Hillary's car) that all need driveway space it gets to a point where you need to draw the line somewhere. Aside from that being the main factor, I wasn't getting the enjoyment out of the Jeep that I used to get. It started needing to be picked at more and more and I just wasn't so in to that. I need to concentrate my time and motivation on the old house we bought and the Jeep is like well, I am not going to say it but we all know what they can be like. I learned a lot working on the Jeep, and I honestly will have another one some day but it will be a ways down the road. The only person to actually come and look at my Jeep over the 3 months in person was the one to buy it. I had actually taken it off of kijiji as the tire kickers were getting extremely annoying. He emailed me asking what happened to the ad, I told him I took it down and wasn't interested in tire kickers any more. He drove up from Hubbards the next day, the first thing I asked him was "what do you know about Jeeps? he replied "I used to own an '02" OK, then I asked "what do you know about modifying Jeeps? as I wanted someone who knew about the modifications I had done to appreciate them and look after them properly. He said "not much really, I basically want a street Jeep" I took a deep breath and started from the front bumper and went all the way to the back bumper explaining what was done and what it needed. He looked over the Jeep while his buddy showed me neat videos of gas powered RC cars and then went on their merry way to look at other Jeeps around the area. I didn't get a single vibe from him good or bad, I didn't expect him to return. Later that night he texted me with an offer, I initially countered it as it was a little lower than I felt what was fair, but he wouldn't budge. I made the mistake of telling Hillary (remember this next part) and she said just sell it, you never drive it. I texted him back and told him he was the owner of my most prized possession. He picked it up two days later and drove it home without issue. As the Jeep was driving away, Hillary and I hugged as to symbolically close a chapter of our lives. She looked at me with sad war torn eyes and said "you shouldn't have sold it" then I knocked her out and pushed her head into a snow bank. Kidding, she did say that but I let it roll off me as any sane person should. I stood in the driveway and watched the right rear tire spin, then switch to the left and then fish tail a little as it exited my driveway for the final time. The only thing that remains are the tread castings in the frozen mud of my driveway where I had to park it off to the side to get our cars in and out. I can sometimes still hear the jingle of my spring retainers in the distance. The End.

I took a video of my Rubicon driving away after I sold it. I still watch it sometimes. Hell I miss my 1972 VW Super Beetle from 25 years ago.

Them new tires must have been the selling point.... lol.....
You will get another one someday...... Or be one of them guy 30 years from now with a ad on kijiji 2.0 asking if anyone knows where your jeep has been all these years.
